Your new role, what’s involved?:

  • Providing technical input on urban drainage projects as lead of a project team.
  • Technical oversight of engineers and modellers, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Support to the development of feasibility studies and optioneering.
  • Preparation of reports and supporting drawings, specifications and schedules.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships at all levels.
  • Providing guidance to, and managing the work of, a local technical delivery team.
  • Coordinating and facilitating project meetings internally and with clients.
  • Contributing to the learning of the wider team through knowledge sharing exercises.
  • Promoting the WSP brand through appropriate industry forums and conferences.

YOUR TEAM

  • Servicing primarily Regulated Water clients, our Birmingham water team also contribute to a raft of other internal frameworks.
  • Opportunity to shape the direction of a high performing, growing team comprising ~10 skilled engineers

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (engineering, construction, environmental science, geography, etc.)
  • A chartered membership (or equivalent) of a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE/CIWEM), or are approaching chartership.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in urban drainage modelling and an ability to check the technical outputs of others prior to issue.
  • Extensive experience of hydraulic modelling, using industry-standard software, specifically, InfoWorks ICM or similar
  • Familiarity with any industry-standard geographical information system (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo, etc.).
  • A high degree of computer literacy and an ability to work without supervision.
