Court Orders & Levies processes Asset-Based Orders served on JP Morgan Chase by restraining customers’ funds and other assets held by the bank. The court system/government agencies issue a variety of orders to collect on debts or money judgments based on statutory terms and procedures. Money judgments are the result of a lawsuit or other debt default process where a judge or jury find in favor of the plaintiff (third-party) and award damages from the defendant (JPMC customer). Government agencies will also issue levies ordering asset restraint for child support, delinquent taxes or other customer defaulted debts. Law enforcement will seek to restrain or seize assets for violation
The role involves variety of Operations functions centered on the processing of data and documentation including document processing, transaction processing, remittance processing and Payout activities. These roles may involve the physical and electronic handling of information.
Roles & Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision makes independent decisions on typical transactions and or legal request based on specialized functional/technical knowledge and broader legal knowledge.
Prepares, tracks and ages documentation required to execute all types of state/federal/legal request.
Applies legal requirements to regularly negotiate complex documentation.
Works with state/federal agencies and attorney, along with in house attorneys when needed, on a wide range of issues related to the documentation.
Exercise clear judgment but may require guidance from a senior staff for complex transactions and or legal request.
Communicate with Business Partners to facilitate resolution of outstanding cases/issues.
Refer problem / Identify issues on assigned work type and escalate occurrences to supervisor.
Responsible for routine decisions and determination of course of action.
Ensure continuity of the process and SLAs assigned through proper back up’s, follow up’s and communication.
Able to evaluate and analyze data from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment
Adapt to changing needs & deadlines and remain calm when under pressure
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Transaction Processing skills will be an added advantage
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in MS office Skills
Eye for detail with time management Skills
Customer centric approach
Preferred Skills & Experience –
Back office experience is an added advantage.
Knowledge about US Legal Documents and Terminology strongly preferred
