This is a great opportunity for a Temporary Sous Chef who enjoys working with seasonal all fresh produce creating traditional pub dishes. With a Menu which offers some of the best steaks which are Dry Aged to over 40 days to give them the taste and tenderness we look for. Steaks include Fillet, Sirloin, Rib-eye, Picanha (a specialty rump cut popular in Argentina) and our signature steak – the Prime Rib cooked on the bone.

In addition to creating a unique niche for steak lovers their menu offers a delight for all foodies who just love simple dishes with superior ingredients cooked exceptionally well. Chicken, lamb and fish cuts along with fresh veg go into classic and innovative dishes.

As Sous Chef you will be expected to maintain the high standards in the kitchen on the Head Chefs days off.

What we need from you?

  • Running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Managing and training Junior Chefs in the team to ensure high culinary standards
  • Helping the Head Chef to create new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
