JOB DESCRIPTION

As a specialist work on various technologies that go into the building of satellite networks. Analyze faults and work out solutions. Work on new technologies and help develop products and solutions required by the business.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Network Engineering Specialist provides Level 3 and above support for the satellite networks. Handle cases that are escalated by Network Operations team for engineering support. Provide interim and long-term solutions to prevent recurrence of engineering issues. Work on development of new products and solutions.

Overview of the tasks that need to be performed are:

1. Provide higher level network engineering support

2. Work on virtualized network functions

3. Provide support for system data base related issues

4. Work on Orchestration & automation tools

Skills Required

Essential

1. Knowledge of Satellite Communication

2. Knowledge on Datacentre Architecture and Design

3. Networking – Routing, Switching, Multicast

4. Experience in working on multivendor Platforms.

5. Infrastructure Provisioning.

6. Installation experience on Servers, Routers, and other datacentre equipment.

7. Knowledge on Monitoring Tools.

8. Virtualization Architecture – VMWare, HP

Desirable

9. Working Knowledge on Orchestration and Automation tools

10. Database knowledge, RDBMS, NOSQL, MongoDB, Time Series Databases etc

11. Programming – Python, Bash, JavaScript, Rest APIs, SOAP

12. Knowledge of Linux distros, Packages, repositories, KickStart etc

13. Knowledge of SASE models

14. Knowledge on PAAS, SAAS Models

Education & Experience

1. BE Electronics & Communications

2. Having relevant work experience of 7+ years

3. Professional level Certification in any two, out of Routing, Virtualization, Linux, Database and scripting, will be desirable
